Violence Risk Assessment Questionnaire (OCAD U)

We are in the process of reviewing our current practices around Violence Risk Assessment. OCAD University has adopted the VRA process through Protect International, which means we currently Triage for Violence Risk and then based on a positive outcome, we will then assess for future risk of violence by using the HCR20 form. As part of this review I am being asked to do a survey of other post-secondary institutions.

Here are the questions:

1. Do you use the Triage process? Who is involved in the triage?

2. Do you have a Treat Assessment Team? Who is on the team?

3. Are you using the HCR20 tool for assessing for future violence risk? Who does the HCR20?

4. Have you received training from Protect International?

5. Do you have a link to a document that identifies your process that I can review? If so please attach it in your email.
