- OACUSA CommunityIn the wake of the incident at Waterloo, we have been getting many inquiries regarding self defense training from our faculty. Currently we are redesigning what was our RAD training and it is not quite ready yet and personally I don't believe this is what they desire anyhow as this is directed to female indentifying members of the comunity to prevent/defend against sexually assault. We also offer CPI Verbal Intervention Training, but again their is a small group looking for physical defense training. I think I know the answer, but I'll ask the question anyhow. Is anyone offering something along these lines and if so what? Thanks in advance, MurrayLike
- OACUSA CommunityOur institution is reviewing our protocols for construction projects, and I’m wondering how unplanned access to construction sites is managed by our various security partners when security staff may need to enter a construction/ project site and are not accompanied by the General Contractor, or aren't able to advise the GC prior? Such scenarios may include but are not limited to: • Trespassers on construction site (of their own will, or as a result of a fresh pursuit) • Other emergencies on construction site (fire, flood, etc.) • Other response through a construction site to access an area needed to address an emergency elsewhere (ie: electrical room, shut off valve, etc). • Other scenarios as applicable Responses are greatly appreciated, and can be sent directly to my attention. ryan.macdonald@uottawa.ca Many thanks, RyanLike
