Protect International is pleased to present a 5-Day Foundational Violence Risk Assessment and Management Workshop in partnership with the University of Waterloo in Ontario. The workshop will provide an opportunity to learn new skills and build on existing skills in assessing and managing risk for violence. Learn about general violence risk assessment and management principles focusing on the most common forms of violence, as well as best practices that are supported by researchers and practitioners from around the world. Successful completion will be recognized with a certificate.
Learn to administer the HCR-20 V3, SARA-V3, B-SAFER, and SAM. All of these tools are structured, evidence-based, and are among the most widely used procedures for assessing and managing violence risk.
This workshop is designed for professionals whose work involves risk assessment and management, including those working in criminal justice, security, victim services, forensic mental health, civil mental health, general health care, social services, human resources, occupational health and safety, and legal services.
The Workshop will be facilitated by one or more of Protect International’s Threat Assessment Specialists, who include Drs. Stephen Hart, Kevin Douglas, Kelly Watt, and Randy Kropp.
